In August 2021, DHIC was awarded tax credit funding from the NC Housing Finance Agency to build a multi-family community in Apex. Stone Glen Apartments will offer 164 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments for families serving those between 70% and 40% of the area median income (AMI).
These Apex apartments will comprise of eight garden-style walk-up apartment buildings. The location off Apex Peakway is close to downtown Apex, has access to numerous highway systems (US-1, NC-540, and US-64), and is within a mile of a GoTriangle stop. There are numerous opportunities for shopping and employment in the near vicinity. The apartment units will be energy efficient and professionally managed with community spaces and on-site management office and laundry facilities. There will be a playground, community clubhouse with fitness area, and a covered picnic area with seating and a grill as well.
Development Timeline:
Construction began in Summer 2022 and was completed May 2024.
Applications are currently being accepted at the Stone Glen clubhouse on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Currently, the majority of remaining rentable units are limited to tenants making 70% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
