Joseph joined DHIC in August 2021. As Senior Project Manager, Joseph directs rental housing development from the initial concept stage through project feasibility, design, financing, construction and occupancy. Additionally, he is responsible for building financial models for projects, as well as analyzing, interpreting, and drafting contracts. Before joining DHIC, Joseph was an Analyst with an Affordable Housing Developer based in Raleigh, NC. His responsibilities included underwriting Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Tax-Exempt Bond transactions, as well as providing technical services focused on recapitalization and preservation of affordable housing portfolios. Joseph also served as a Development Associate for a regional Affordable Housing developer. Mr. Omozokpea began his career in Affordable Housing as an Acquisitions Intern with a non-profit tax credit syndicator. Joseph is a Graduate of Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria and has a Masters of City and Regional Planning from UNC-Chapel Hill.
