Kannapolis apartments reborn thanks to DHIC

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- Newly renovated affordable apartments will be available soon in Kannapolis, according to nonprofit builder DHIC, Inc.The Raleigh-based company is transforming the former Royal Oaks Gardens apartment complex, now renamed University Park, with a $13 million renovation investment.

DHIC will conduct a major renovation and construct new amenities including a community center and two age-based play areas for resident children. Rehabilitation of the property is expected to be finished by the end of the year.Read more from this article in the Independent Tribune.
