Willow Creek
DHIC recently completed Willow Creek, a 53-unit, 100% smoke-free apartment community in Cary for older adults, ages 55 and above. Conveniently located near the Morrisville Market shopping center off Davis Dr., Willow Creek residents enjoy the convenience and walkability to nearby retail and services. A hallmark of DHIC’s design, Willow Creek apartments are eco-friendly with water saving fixtures, and energy-efficient heating, cooling and appliances and features amenities that encourage interaction among neighbors. Through a partnership with Resources for Seniors, various services and community activities for the senior residents are offered.
Highland Terrace

Highland Terrace offers 80 high-quality, yet affordable apartments for seniors 55 years of age and greater. As DHIC’s “greenest” housing development, these apartments have been designed, built, and registered for LEED for Homes Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED for Homes program.
LEED for Homes is a national, voluntary certification system, developed by experts and experienced builders, that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. The LEED for Homes program also encourages the adoption of sustainable practices by the homebuilding industry.
LEED for Homes is part of the suite of nationally recognized LEED Green Building Rating Systems administered by the USGBC. Third party verification of Highland Terrace’s LEED certification credits is accomplished through a partnership with Southern Energy Management of Morrisville, NC.
Highland Manor

Completed in 2005, Highland Manor Apartments are part of DHIC’s multi-use Highland Village community in Cary. Highland Manor has 32 units restricted to seniors, and all are one-bedroom with the exception of one two-bedroom unit for the resident manager. Two units are designed with accessible features. It is a unique housing community because it can provide homes for seniors with extremely limited incomes.
Supportive services through Resources for Seniors of Wake County are available for individuals with special needs, in addition to regularly programmed activities for all residents.
The Commons at Highland Village
Convenience and a carefree lifestyle await you at The Commons at Highland Village, 68- units of one- and two-bedroom apartments with some handicapped accessible units available. Each apartment is fully carpeted and features a range and self-cleaning oven, refrigerator with icemaker, and dishwasher. Also included are mini-blinds on all windows, fire sprinkler system, secure entrance with card access and intercoms to apartments.

Sedgebrook
Sedgebrook offers 32 high-quality apartments in the heart of Cary. Located off of Kildaire Farm Road about a half mile north of the Cary Parkway, Sedgebrook gives residents easy access to shopping centers, restaurants, and schools. Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) buses stop at the corner of Kildaire Farm Road, providing access to the entire Triangle area
Highland Village
Highland Village Apartments offer 50 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and are located at the intersection of High House and Old Apex Roads, approximately one mile from downtown Cary. The complex is part of DHIC’s larger Highland Village community, which also includes apartments for seniors and townhomes for sale. The community’s central location gives residents easy access to shopping, services, schools, major employers, recreational opportunities and GoCary, Cary’s public transportation service. Handicapped accessible units are available.
