In August 2021, DHIC was awarded tax credit funding from the NC Housing Finance Agency for Sportsmanship Crossing, in Holly Springs. Sportsmanship Crossing will consist of 124 apartments for families (50 one-bedroom, 60 two-bedroom, and 14 three-bedroom) in six residential buildings. This community will serve individuals between 60% and 40% of the area median income (AMI).
The community will include a clubhouse/community building with an on-site managers’ office, community room and kitchen, business/computer center with free Internet access, and a common laundry facility. The community building also has a connected covered picnic area and screened porch adjacent to the children’s playground. Indoor and outdoor sitting areas are also provided.
