DHIC Helps Real Estate Brokers Open the Doors for More Homebuyers

On Friday, November 7^th, the DHIC Homeownership Center hosted an Unlocking Doors to Homeownership event in partnership with SunTrust and Freddie Mac. This free event gave real estate brokers the tools, resources, and information needed to be of greater service to homebuyers in the Triangle.

The event took place from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown and featured information on down payment assistance, low-cost mortgage programs, local market analysis, and other resources to help brokers offer more opportunities for homebuyers.

A panel of industry experts from Freddie Mac, City of Raleigh, Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors, North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, DHIC, and SunTrust were on hand to answer questions from brokers and provide additional information.

Over 125 real estate brokers attended, where they earned 4 CE credits by staying for the duration of the event.
