Gregg Warren Wins Impact Award at 2017 TCREW Champion Awards

Raleigh, N.C. – DHIC, Inc. is proud to announce that Gregg Warren, President of DHIC, was selected as a 2017 winner of the Impact Award at the 19th Annual TCREW Champion Awards. Nominees and winners were recognized by a record crowd of more than 600 business and real estate leaders in the Triangle at the annual awards luncheon at Embassy Suites in Cary, N.C. on April 25, 2017. Since 1985, Gregg has served as President of DHIC, Inc. Under his leadership, the organization has developed 37 rental communities, comprising of 2,200+ apartments across North Carolina, as well as over 400 homes for first time homebuyers. In addition, DHIC’s Homeownership Center graduated over 100 families in homeownership in 2016.
“There is not a more deserving champion for this award,” said Gary Blum, DHIC Board Chair. “Gregg has time and time again created opportunities from obstacles by developing and advocating for thriving communities where many low- and moderate-income neighbors can afford to live safely and happily.”
Gregg is a founding member and past Chair of the North Carolina Housing Coalition, and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association of Community Development Corporations, the Advisory Council of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta and StepUp Ministry. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Community Housing Capital and the Hope Center at Pullen.
Gregg has taught classes at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Government and the Department of City and Regional Planning, where he received a Master of Regional Planning degree in 1974. Gregg also completed Harvard’s Achieving Excellence Program at the Kennedy School of Government.
