JamieJamie Ramsey joined DHIC in 2011 and is responsible for moving a rental housing development from site selection and program development through project feasibility, design, construction, and occupancy.  Jamie came to DHIC with years of experience administering and supervising affordable housing and community and economic development programs for the State of North Carolina.

A native of Illinois, Jamie has enjoyed living in NC since 1975 and the Triangle since 1984.  She earned a BS in Anthropology and Environmental Sciences prior to her Masters Degree in Regional Planning from UNC-Chapel Hill.  Jamie has a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s license and is a Fellow of the Natural Resources Leadership Institute.

Actively engaged in the community, Jamie has served as a non-profit founder and executive director, board member, and homeless ministry volunteer.  She volunteered for six years on the Wake County Open Space and Parks Advisory Committee, and six years on the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Greenway Advisory Board.  She was also a founding member of the WakeNature Preserves Partnership.  She and her husband live in Raleigh and have two daughters. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys gardening, travel, hiking, painting, cooking, and a good read.
