DHIC Awarded Low-Income Housing Tax Credits

DHIC is pleased to announce that the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) awarded 2022 Low-Income Housing Tax Credits in the amount of $991,236 to Creston Commons, located in Southern Pines, NC. 

This award will allow DHIC to move forward with the rehabilitation of 80 units that were originally completed as two separate phases in 2001 and 2005. Renovations will include replacing all major building systems, including HVAC, appliances, cabinetry, and plumbing fixtures. During the renovation, we’ll also make significant improvements to the exteriors of the buildings, including new windows, doors, siding, and roofs.
