The NC Housing Financing Agency recently announced the 2021 Housing Credit Awards and we are thrilled to report that five projects submitted by DHIC were among those awarded, totaling 627 new units of affordable housing.

Ashton Place (9% award): providing 51 units for seniors in Durham serving those at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI). Ashton Place will offer efficiency, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

Hardee Street (4% award): providing 132 units for families in Durham serving those at 30% and 60% AMI in one, two, and three-bedroom apartments

Sportsmanship Crossing (4% award): providing 124 units for families in Holly Springs for those between 40% and 60% AMI. This community will offer one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.

Apex Apartments: (4% award): 164 units for families in Apex serving individuals between 40% and 70% AMI in one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.

Milner Commons (4% award): 156 units for seniors in Raleigh serving those at or below 60% AMI in efficiency, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
