In Chapel Hill, construction has started for Greenfield Place, offering eighty (80) one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes for families and individuals with modest incomes.
Located off Legion Road, Greenfield Place will add housing for the local workforce that provides valuable services to our community such as first-responders, childcare providers, food service workers and retail associates. The community is also situated near the bus line, grocery and other essential living conveniences. In addition to the efficiently designed apartment homes, residents of Greenfield Place will enjoy an on-site community clubhouse, business center, and children’s playground. There will also be on-site professional management and 24 hour emergency maintenance.
The second phase of this development, Greenfield Commons, will serve seniors 62 and older and is scheduled to be completed by late 2018.
“DHIC’s expansion into Chapel Hill has been made possible by the support of the town and local officials and we look forward to building on this partnership to create more affordable housing options for many deserving residents in Orange County,” said Gregg Warren, President of DHIC.
The application process for Greenfield Place will begin in the fall of 2017. If you or someone you know would like to be contacted when the application process opens, please call (919) 615-3726.
