The 1st Annual Washington Terrace Neighborhood Reunion

On Saturday, September 22, 2018, over 250 current and former Washington Terrace residents and a host of friends gathered at Raleigh’s Lions Park for the 1^st Annual Washington Terrace Neighborhood Reunion. The event was held to celebrate the rich history and promising future of the Washington Terrace neighborhood that was initially built in 1950.

The event not only offered great food, music, games, and the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and neighbors, but community partners such as Wake Tech,  United Healthcare, and You Can Vote joined in the festivities and provided useful resources for attendees.

The event was planned by a committee of current and former Washington Terrace residents and was supported in part by DHIC, NeighborWorks America, the Strong Families Fund, and other local churches, businesses and individuals.

The planning for next year’s event is already underway!
