LatonyaLaTonya Mckoy joined the DHIC team as the Community Services Coordinator.  In this position, LaTonya will be responsible for developing and maintaining supportive, professional relationships with residents, property management teams, service coordinators, social service providers, and other public agencies.  She will also be responsible for directing resources in four core service areas: youth programs, community building, health and financial wellness, and positive senior well-being.

Before joining the DHIC team, LaTonya served as the Shelter Director for InterAct of Wake County where she was responsible for overseeing residential services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  She developed a passion for working in residential programming from her professional time spent as a Residential Counselor with the Atlanta Job Corps Center and has since built a career rooted in advocacy and community service.

LaTonya graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a BS in Social Work.  She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family on North Carolina’s coast and she has a love for art and interior and architecture design.
