We are proud to announce that Resident Services Coordinator, Rachel Tutwiler, and VP of Resource Development & Partnerships, Tinu Diver, have been selected for the NeighborWorks America Business Intelligence Fellowship

Through this fellowship, Rachel and Tinu will receive comprehensive training on how to use Tableau for data visualization and analysis. Tableau makes it easier to not only analyze data but also report on it in a way that’s easy to understand and communicate with other members of the team.

As fellows, Rachel and Tinu will also be paired with a mentor and develop a project to use Tableau to help us get more insight into how we can make data-driven decisions as an organization.

“Being in Resident Services, we have data from property management and our annual resident surveys, but learning how to use Tableau will help us understand it in new ways. As a result, we’ll be able to better serve our residents and ensure their voices are heard as we make data-driven decisions in their best interests,” Rachel explains.

In addition to supporting DHIC’s strategic goal of centering residents and community members in our work, Rachel and Tinu’s participation advances our goal to improve planning and informed decision making to support intentional growth. While there are fellows participating in this cohort from NeighborWorks organizations across the country, DHIC is the only organization with two fellows in this year’s cohort. Congratulations Rachel and Tinu!
