Kicking Off Our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan

On March 9, 2023, DHIC celebrated the kickoff of our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan with board members, community partners, funders, residents, and homebuyers. 

Not only was this a chance to unveil the strategic plan goals, but it was also a time to celebrate the collaborative process and hard work that went into developing the plan which involved input from DHIC residents, clients, funders, and other community partners and stakeholders.

As DHIC President, Yolanda Winstead, explained at the event, by achieving these goals over the next three years, we aim to help create a housing ecosystem that provides and promotes equity, generational wealth, health, and wellness for the communities in which we work. 

While all of the goals outlined in the strategic plan are equally important, we are centering our plan around our desire to be an organization that puts the people we serve at the center of everything we do. 

This means putting our residents’ and clients’ needs first, from the planning to the execution of the communities we are creating together, to maintaining and improving the existing portfolio, to property management and extended resident services, to financial empowerment work at the Homeownership Center, and beyond. 

We appreciate everyone that attended this event to help us kick off these exciting new initiatives for our organization.
