Often, we are so focused on our day-to-day tasks that we forget to stop and celebrate the successes that we achieve as we progress toward our goals. And so, it is for us here at DHIC as well. This is exactly why we recently took time to celebrate and acknowledge the successful completion of an almost year-long process to develop our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan. Our Strategic Plan Kickoff event was a wonderful opportunity to come together and lift up how much we grew together as a team and coalesced around our renewed commitment and focus on serving the people in the communities where we work.
Our north star for the future is Centering Community, Creating Opportunity. And while we have refined both our Vision and Mission statements, the core of our work remains the same. We aim to increase DHIC’s capacity to build and operate affordable communities that truly center residents, homeowners’ needs, and create pathways and opportunities for them to flourish. Therefore, the plan integrates more fully DHIC’s award-winning housing production and operating work with a sharpened focus on supporting residents and building holistic thriving communities.
