DHIC recently completed a year-long civic engagement process to plan for the redevelopment of Washington Terrace. In addition to the already proposed 162 units of affordable housing for families, community residents identified the need for affordable, high quality child care. DHIC responded by including plans for a child care center as part of Phase I of this redevelopment.
DHIC is now pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications (RFQ). We are seeking applications from 5-star child care center operators in Wake County to run a facility that will be built by DHIC. It is anticipated that this facility will be ready for occupation in the summer of 2018.
Applications are due on Monday, May 16th by 4:00PM at DHIC’s main office at 113 S Wilmington Street, Raleigh. Please note, we are now requiring an electronic copy (CD, DVD, or USB) of your complete application as well as cash flow projections and a start-up budget (please see links below).
