Sheila Porter manages all aspects of Homeownership Center operations, compliance and service development and delivery. She has a passion for seeing individuals and families empowered, equipped and encouraged as a result of the homebuyer education, pre-purchase and post purchase counseling, foreclosure prevention counseling and financial capability services offered by the Homeownership Center.
Sheila joined DHIC in 2000 and has over 25 years of mortgage, banking and counseling experience. She has received counseling certifications from NeighborWorks® America and the North Carolina Association of Housing Counselors, management certifications from the National Council of La Raza and NeighborWorks® America and holds a North Carolina Real Estate Brokers license.
